Mô tả công việc

Controls:
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory matters, including ensuring that proper hotel insurances, permits and licenses have been obtained for such matters as importation, currency transfers and hotel operations. Take responsibility for the safekeeping and updating of all leases and contracts, which may affect the financial status of the hotel. Assist Financial Controller with review of contracts’ terms where required.
• Liaise and co- operate with both Internal and External Audit. Ensure that an effective programmer of in- hotel audit is in place and that corrective action is promptly taken where required.
• Review and revise finance Standard operating procedures whenever necessary
• Provide overall supervision of the accounting records and financial reporting, ensuring compliance with company, corporate office, owner, statutory and fiscal requirements and timetables.
• Oversees the maintenance of the hotel HOE registration. Assists for owner fixed assets count whenever required. Responsible for the controlling over food and beverage inventory, cost management, wastages and pilferage.
• Continuous review and development of best practice financial accounting and control procedures with the aim of maximizing both impact and efficiency. Ensure procedures are in place for an effective and efficient control over the hotel assets, liabilities, revenue and costs.
• Assists in implementing and maintaining acceptable accounting practices and procedures as required by PPHG policy and procedures, generally accepted accounting practices, and as effected by local conditions.
• Assists in the evaluation of existing internal control measures that apply to accounting procedures and computer systems as per PPHG Policies and Procedures
• Assists in ensuring payments are made to PPHG (All Fees and billings) on time or as per contract term.
Reporting:
• Prepare high quality management information and performance measurement that is timely and accurate. Ensure that all required reporting timeline to owner and PPHG are met.
• Co- ordinates the preparation of any required tax documentation relating to business taxes, foreign currency transactions, withholding taxes and income taxes and ensure lodgment is completed as per required deadlines.
Business Support:
• Develop best practise financial accounting and control procedures. Financial reporting and control to be an area of continuous review and development with the aim of maximising both impact and efficiency.
• Co- ordinates the hiring, training and performance evaluation of Finance department associates.
• Fulfill the role of Financial Controller in his/her absence
• Performs monthly profit & loss review meetings with department heads and follow up any agreed corrective actions for variances against budget or forecast. Provide them with information and training as required.
• Assist to put the Financial Strategy of the hotel into action plans.
• Monitors business results and provide clear and informed analysis to meet hotel requirements and support decision making. Make recommendations for potential revenue and profit enhancements and capital investment.
• Interacts with department and hotel staff in a professional and positive manner to foster good rapport, promote team spirit and ensure effective two- way communication.
• Support the implementation of Financial Systems in the hotel, particularly those that have an impact on the way the Finance Department works.
• Maintain good owner relationship and communication with owner representative in the absence of Financial Controller.
• Assist the Financial Controller with the formulation and review process for annual budgeting and forecasting.
• Build a highly organized and efficient Finance Department, and ensure each member has a personal development plan that support their ongoing education and development needs. Set the example and lead and motivate the team to high levels of performance.
• Assist with continuous forecasting of the hotel performance with content and detail appropriate to the needs of the operation and management action.

Yêu cầu công việc

EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
•CA/MBA is preferred.
• A degree or diploma in Finance/Accounting is required.
LANGUAGES: Conversant in English, spoken and written.
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of all types of taxes applicable.
• Knowledge of all aspects of Finance and accounts, legalities of Hospitality industry.
• Strong inter- personal skills, leadership skills, administration skills and organizational skills.
• Complex problem resolution and general management expertise.
WORK EXPERIENCE IN OTHER COMPANIES (IN CASE OF EXTERNAL SELECTION):
• Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Finance & accounts related operations, of which at least 2 years in a 4- 5 stars hotel
