Supports the implementing, demonstrating and reinforcing Hyatt’s Values and Culture Characteristics.
Ensures Sales activities are aligned with the Corporate Marketing Strategy, and that the Hotel Actions have been implemented where appropriate.
Works with Director of Sales to ensure all Hyatt Events Standards relating to Event Sales, Event Planning, Profitability and Marketing are fully implemented.
Assists all the sales strategy, tactics, and action implementations, complying with the Smart Selling approaches, in order to create a strong and disciplined sales team, and to achieve the sales goal.
Ensures the best use of technology including Envision or other sales and catering systems, and that data is clean.
Personally manage part of account databases, evaluates them based on sales account analysis and makes strategy for pricing, inventory, and sales resource allocation.
Ensures sales files and systems have correct booking procedures, including group room and meeting programme history, contractual agreements, room block analysis, credit and payment documents, etc.
Coordinates and executes acquisition, developments, and sales retention.
Maintains a database of local, national and international group, catering and conference leads and ensures implementation of appropriate sales development and acquisition activities.
Professionally organizes and facilitates routine telemarketing activities to recapture lost business and identify new business opportunities.
Works with Revenue Manager to optimize rooms revenue by ensuring that all qualified accounts and groups are acquired with the aim of meeting the RevPar goal.
Continuously seeks ways to maximise revenues and profits by ensuring members of the Events Team cross sell and up- sell other hotel facilities and services and other Hyatt hotels.
Works with Director of Sales/Director of Marcom to ensure an impressive Events Gallery and other appropriate sales tools are available to the team.
Makes sure that all the sales proposals, collateral, digital tools, and other sales communications are in line with the hotel’s and HI’s brand standards, and up to date in terms of information.
Conducts regular market surveys and research on competitors.
Assists with the preparation of the annual sales plan, weekly/ monthly sales report and reforecast.
Handles all guest and internal customer complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
Follows the established hotel policies and procedures when signing contracts on behalf of the Sales & Marketing Department.
Delegates appropriate duties and responsibilities to employees so as to equip, nurture and develop them whilst ensuring standards of operation and safety are maintained.
Works closely with other management personnel in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of hotel guests.
Plans and implements effective training programmes, including all the required Driving Customers Preference Courses, for employees in coordination with the Training Manager and Departmental Trainers.
Work closely with Revenue Manager and assists in the implementation of the hotel’s Sales Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, and all other revenue departments.
Ensures that other Sales personnel entertain customers based on business priorities.
Maximises employee productivity through the use of multi- skilling, multi- tasking and flexible scheduling to meet the financial goals of the business as well as the expectations of the guests.
Personally handles a small number of major events, critical to the hotel’s reputation and success.
Ensures all team members correctly and efficiently use Envision and other hotel systems
