About the Department
The Technology and Operations function is comprised of five teams of specialists with distinct capabilities: business partnership, technology, operations, risk governance and planning support and services. We work closely together to harness the power of technology to support our physical and digital banking services and operations. This includes developing, centralising and standardising technology systems as well as banking operations in Singapore and overseas branches.
Overview of the Role
Application Development & Support Manager is responsible for supporting maintenance and enhancing local applications based on Business Unit and Regulatory requirement; conducting Application assessment to provide suitable application fixing for application bug, security issue following UOB Technical standards; managing local vendor in providing IT software service for local application.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage vendor performance and qualities to ensure their output meet our UOB Technical standard and project timeline.
• Collaborate with cross- functional teams such as development, infrastructure, architecture, etc. to enhance application systems and processes.
• Manage risks and issues relating to the successful execution of assigned projects.
• Participate in project reviews and evaluations, ensuring alignment of technology investments with the Enterprise Architecture Framework and the bank’s strategic directions.
• Monitor progress against project plans and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure Application deployment meeting our UOB release management criteria.
• Conduct Application design, POC and solution review with Group SME for any new application or system enhancement.
• Work with testing team to ensure the test strategy align with application design and implementation plan.
